I’ve just stumbled across a video on YouTube that has absolutely blown me away. It’s the most poetic and beautiful example of marketing at it’s very best. And it also features one of my favourite British actors.

Imagine crafting a sales letter or video that not only promoted your brand, but shared your passion, history and culture with your audience in the way this one does. You could give them a unique, compelling story that would draw people in effortlessly. If you could do that, you’d inspire emotion in your readers or viewers, giving them a connection that few marketers (myself included) achieve.

I actually feel excited when I watch this video and I want to be a part of it’s lineage. And I don’t even like whiskey.

This is my new benchmark. I may never reach it but I’ll always be aiming for this level of conviction in my sales messages, whether it’s for a new product or an acting role.
