What’s The Point of Your Business? – A Quick Exercise in Clarity

Well, what’s your answer?

The rhow to get clarityeason I ask is that I recently experienced a rather embarassing moment. I wanted to let you know about it as I think it’ll help you to get a clearer vision of your own online endeavours.

You may even think slightly less of me once I tell you it, but I’m prepared to risk it…

In fact, the embarassing moment is actually a series of moments that have struck me or occured in the last few weeks.

It started with a colleague of mine simply asking me ‘What are you working on at the moment?’

I couldn’t answer. Or at least, I couldn’t answer in any clear, structured way. I couldn’t pinpoint what my business was, and therefore what its goals and aims were. I felt stupid as I had a very blunt realisation:

I hadn’t defined my business and the service I want to provide. I had no definite, clear goal to aim for.

I think I mumbled something about blogging and building a list and doing affiliate marketing… Whatever I said, it made me want to crawl into a ditch.

Up until that point I’d seen my business as a means of making money for myself in order to improve my life and that of the people around me. But this, as you can perhaps already see, is the wrong perspective. Looking at it that way, I’m seeing it as a vehicle for myself and myself only.

Instead, I realised that I need to consider it from the point-of-view of Read the rest of this entry »

The 50th Law – Review With Over 40% Discount

50th Law ReviewOne of the most interesting things that’s happened to me since I began this journey into internet marketing is that my comfort zone has expanded almost immeasurably. In fact, I now believe that one’s comfort zone must increase in size if you are to be successful.

You see, many people who get into IM have come from a background of having a job and being employed (and in many senses ruled) by someone else. As a result, they haven’t controlled their own time or their income, as these are both governed by the boss. Increasing what you feel comfortable doing, and reducing the amount of fear you feel about doing something new is crucial.

One of my heroes in terms of having a complete lack of fear and the ability to be flexible is the rapper 50 Cent. Personally I think he’s an excellent businessman, quite apart from his ability with music. In fact, this video shows just some of the background and business wisdom that his incredible youth on the streets has taught him:

Robert Greene (author of The 48 Laws of Power) has now teamed up with ‘Fiddy’ in order to understand what it is that makes him so Read the rest of this entry »

The 7 Habits of Highly Successful Internet Marketers

It’s finally here folks! After creating this course last year and even selling some basic versions of it via the Warrior Forum, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Internet Marketers is here!

I’m extremely proud of what I’ve created here because I know it’s going to provide you, my readers and subscribers with a ton of tools and mindset modifications that you can actually apply to create your own success stories online.

Basically, I got pretty sick of seeing marketers churning out courses and software without addressing the core issue that stops most people being successful – Their thoughts and the way those thoughts become habits in their daily lives. You see, without the right habits, virtually every great tool or course is useless. That’s where the 7 Habits of Highly Successful Internet Marketers comes in.

With this course, you get not just a video course, but some practical questions which, when answered honestly, will provide you with a far clearer direction for your online business.

Oh, and I also got pretty sick of reading sales letters that didn’t actually tell me what the hell the product was. Which is why I’ve created this video to give you a behind-the-scenes look at this latest version of the product. As always, please leave your comments in the section below.

The Best Internet Marketing Blogs on How To Create Big Plans, Get Big Results and Why You Need Indicators

Best marketing blogIt’s been a little while since my last post on here. I’ve been working on a very exciting little project which I’m going to announce on here tomorrow, but in the meantime, I wanted to share some blogs with you that I believe will help you as they’ve helped me.

The first is the blog of a great marketing thinker of our time: Seth Godin. You may have already heard his name and if you’re a fan of my blog on Facebook, then you’ll know that I recently posted a video of him speaking about blogging. Well, Seth has written a very short, simple post that sums up what you need to do to get big results. Don’t be fooled by the fact it’s short. It looks simple because it is and Seth is a master at stripping away the nonsense and going with what works. Simply click the link to read Seth’s post entitled: ‘Make Big Plans

One of my role models for this blog since I started it just over a year ago is a blogger called Yaro Starak. Yaro has been internet marketing for several years and has created incomes using forums, blogs and joint ventures among other things. He also has a podcast and video series that has inspired my own video channel on YouTube and podcast on iTunes. One particular post series has been very inspiring to me and I wanted to share it with you. It’s called ‘A Day In The Life Of An Internet Entrepreneur‘ and this version is the updated 2009 edition. You can also read his original 2005 version via the same link. Yaro is a great blogger and writes in a very informative style, holding nothing back. Check it out.

How To Succeed Online: Millionaire Mentor Session Podcast with Neil Asher

WARNING: Neil gets pretty passionate about his subject matter and is very blunt about what works and what doesn’t. As a result, the conversation does get a bit ‘sweary’. If you have an issue with people swearing, don’t listen, as this podcast is not edited for language.

If you’ve already clicked the play button (and why wouldn’t you?) and you want to get Neil’s offer, then click here.

So… to the subject of this (pretty awesome) interview:

neil asherWhen I first got started working online, I realised the importance of getting a mentor. More specifically, I needed to find someone who had succeeded in doing what I wanted to do.

At that time, I wanted to create my own products in a variety of niches but had no idea where to start. The cool thing about getting a (good) mentor who has already trodden that same path is just that: They’ve been there, done that and hopefully they have the bank balance to prove it.

Well Neil Asher ticked all those boxes for me. He’d created a number of businesses and used online marketing to promote them, eventually making a very large part of his very large income (he’s a multi-millionaire) from creating products in different niches and selling them online. And thanks to the list building he’s done in each of these markets, he can now make more money by providing more great products to his previous buyers.

So, I got in touch with Neil and even before I was on his coaching course as a paid up member, he helped me with some great information and guidance.

I joined his course and got great value from it. Since then, I’ve used the strategies and, more importantly, the way of thinking to make money online. I’m not a millionaire yet but I’m on the journey. Thanks to this interview, you can get an insight into what you need to do to be on the same path.

Inspirational Video – Chris Gardner and The Pursuit of Happyness

I wanted to share something a little different with you today, marketing fans. I’ve recently been reading the story of a guy called Chris Gardner. For those of you that don’t recognise the name, he’s the lead character (and real person) in the film ‘The Pursuit of Happyness‘ starring Will and Jaden Smith as father and son. The movie is based on his life and his rise from homeless to millionaire.

The film itself only covers a small part of his life and I wanted to learn more about his rise and see what lessons it might teach me about my own life and quest for wealth. As a result, I picked up a copy of the amazing book that the film is based on, also entitled ‘The Pursuit of Happyness‘.

There are several amazing stories in the book, which (naturally) goes into far more depth than the movie can. It’s one of those books that within every chapter, shows you a way forward with a line or phrase that resonates deeply in your mind.

The most powerful thing about it is Read the rest of this entry »
