I’ve been wanting to write a post like this for a little while as I think it’s useful to you if I share some income figures with you.

In fact, by the end of the year I’m planning to be doing a monthly income report here on the blog so you can see what I’m making and how. That way you can see how you can do the same. Where I can, I’ll help you to do that.

My aim is also provide some inspiration to those of you who read my blog and may be on the same journey.

So, with that said…

Last month, I added an extra $3,295.28 to my monthly income over the course of July 2011 (£2027.40 converted according to exchange rates on 3rd August 2011). I’ll explain how in a moment.

Ignoring the smaller amounts – which are from a $1 Warrior Special Offer I launched last year and $77 which is from a PLR offer I have on the back end of one of my squeeze pages – all the amounts you see are from the same method. In fact, I actually made more than stated in the title, but I’ve allowed for Paypal fees so you get the figure I actually took home.

One question that comes up time and again is that of how to make money online fast. This is my answer…

First of all, you need to understand that making money is a skill. It isn’t reserved for the super intelligent or the wealthy. It’s something that everyone can do, but it requires you to invest both time and money.

The chances are that most people reading that have just left this page, looking for the quick fix. If you’re still reading, then congratulations, you’ve passed the first test!

The good news for you is that there are many ways to make money online quickly. Long term, I would suggest that you get a mentor who’s already done it and proved they’ve done it and follow their methods to the letter. But you’re looking for quicker ways than that.

By far the quickest is to sell services.

You might be thinking: ‘Well, that’s fine for you to say Matt, but I don’t have a service to sell.’

If you are thinking that then I have a question for you: How do you earn your money right now?

You see, there’s a good chance that as you read this, you already have a skill or an ability that you use every day that you can harness, and then use the power of the internet to deliver that skill to people who need it.

When it comes to creating income streams for yourself online, bring the owner of a product is perhaps one of the very best means to make money.

In this article, I’m going to show you why PLR (private label rights) is a great way to create your own product, how we’re going to use it and finally, a completely FREE resource I’ve created to show you how to make money with PLR, by setting up your own product in just 7 days.

Why PLR?

Ok, first of all, let’s look at why PLR products can be so brilliant when it comes to making money online and creating your own product to do so.

PLR or Private Label Rights products enable you to take a ready-made product and sell it as your own. This means that you can leverage off the work someone else has already done for you on your topic to create wealth for yourself.

The benefits are many but include:

• The work is mostly done for you.
• You get a complete product for a relatively small one-time investment.
• You don’t have to research or write the product itself.
• You can often find PLR written by experts, giving you even more credibility as you know the work is of high quality.
• It’s much cheaper than creating your own product as you’re not paying a writer to create a new product from scratch.

There are of course some downsides (although to be honest, they’re fairly few in number). The main two are that:

• The product is out there for anyone to buy and use as their own (but I’ll show you how to get around this).
• The quality of PLR material varies widely. There are plenty of good packages out there but there’s also a lot of hastily-assembled rubbish. Generally speaking, you get what you pay for, so if you see a free or very low cost package, it’s probably priced that way for a reason. That said, I’ll also show you a way to get around this too and get quality without the chunky price tag!

How We’re Going To Profit From PLR

We’re going to be using PLR is a slightly different manner to the way ‘received wisdom’ would have us use it.

You see, most people who are thinking of using PLR or MRR products will be taking the product and any site it comes with, putting that site up and selling the product exactly as it is, only changing the name on it to be their own.

I’ve been wanting to write this post for a little while but have been struggling a little to phrase it correctly. Now, the time has come to share it as I’ve noticed an alarming trend in internet marketing which I first touched upon in my post on Internet Marketing Reviews.

The trend is one you’ve almost certainly noticed.

Tons of products and product launches for these courses and bits of software that will make you heaps of money on auto-pilot. You may well have seen the sales letters, telling you of all the thousands of dollars the marketer made in just 6 clicks, or the masses of targeted visitors he got in just 24 hours using his easy, push button system.

I’m here to tell you the truth.

It’s total nonsense.

The reason they are marketing products in this way is partly because it’s what the buying public say they want. An easy way of making money online fast. But the public are doing themselves a huge injustice.

Think of it this way…

If I was to sit you in front of a piano and ask you to play me a piece of classical music, without you ever having touched or learned to play a piano before, would you expect to be able to do it in a few hours?

What about if I told you that I could teach you how to play like Chopin or Debussy and that you could be a concert pianist in 24 hours from now?

If you’ve been reading this blog for any time at all, you’ll probably have heard me mention the power of attending live events within the world of internet marketing, not just for the knowledge you can gain from the presentations, but also for the incredible networking opportunities it provides.

When I was getting started, one of my inspirations was Mark Anastasi (that’s him with me in the photo). He created an online business for himself after finding and following a mentor and now runs seminars showing others the way to do the same with all sorts of new media. Many of the seminars he runs combine the great stuff from conventional business and improves on it via the use of the internet. Just recently, I attended his excellent Facebook seminar and not only did I learn the skills to make Facebook a major traffic source for my business, but I also got to meet and hang out with some of the UK’s top marketers, some of whom have become friends that help me succeed.

Well, Mark is about to host a huge seminar in London that will show people who are serious about online business exactly how to drive loads of traffic to their websites.

The event is called The Ultimate Traffic Generation Summit and will be held at a hotel in central London.

Targeted traffic is one of those keys to online business. In fact, I’d even go so far as saying it’s the key to online business. Without traffic you don’t have the chance to make money.

What’s cool about the event that Mark is hosting is that they will be sharing both free and paid traffic strategies. I use both of these in my business so I’m really excited to learn how some of the speakers leveraged their money to get tons of targeted traffic.

I received a very sharp lesson (by which I mean, ‘metaphorical smack in the face’) recently and wanted to share it with you…

I was on the phone to a relatively new friend of mine a couple of weeks ago, and we were discussing what to sell and how to do it.

To give you a bit of background, the friend I was chatting to was Shaqir Hussyin, a marketer who comfortably makes around $35,000 every month with his online business. Yes, you read that right. That’s his monthly income.

So I figured he might know a thing or two about making money online.

I mentioned that it was all very well trying to sell expensive products to people as an affiliate marketer but would people really pay thousands for a product when they can get a basic version for $100 or less.

Shaq actually paused for a moment before he answered:

‘Man, you’ve gotta shift that belief. That’s a limiting belief you have right there. There will always be people willing to pay top-dollar for stuff.‘

I thought about that for a moment. Logically, I immediately knew it was true, but I realised that emotionally, I hadn’t changed the way I thought. I automatically saw lack instead of abundance. I know that I would much rather drive an Aston Martin DB9 at £130,000 ($202,485) than a Vauxhall Corsa  at £9995 ($15,568) so it stands to reason that other people must feel the same way about whatever they’re into.

This was confirmed to me again the following week when I watched an ‘over-the-shoulder’ video by Neil Asher.

In the video, Neil showed us how he researched a particular niche, firstly to see if it was profitable (i.e. people were searching in high numbers etc.) then to see if there were high-end products to sell within that market. Now of course, it may be the case that fewer people will buy if the product is expensive, but again, The First Law of Shaq states: There will always be people who want to buy expensive stuff.

So Neil took us through the cigar market and to a particular (very niche) item that people who smoke cigars want and need: A humidor. For those not in the know (like me when Neil mentioned it), a humidor is a case or cabinet where you store cigars in a constant environment, so that they don’t get very dry or too damp but stay at the optimum level for a good ol’ smoke.

Anyway, Neil showed us this and found a company that sold high-end humidors for thousand of dollars each.
