Phenomenal Strategy for Using YouTube to Build a List and Make Money Online

internet marketing blogI’ve been mentioning Fiverr.com on here a fair bit recently after I discovered it about 6 weeks ago. It’s made outsourcing very approachable. Beforehand, I was concerned about needing to employ someone full time and being a little reticent to venture into outsourcing before I had several income streams set up.

I think I mentioned a few weeks back that I was on a call with my IM (internet marketing) mentor, Neil Asher. Incidentally, getting a mentor doesn’t have to be pricey – you can get on Neil’s coaching program for £4.95 (around $8) by going to this page. On that call, I mentioned Fiverr and Neil and the rest of the coaching group fell in love with it… The down side is that it will probably make us all less effective in our businesses for a few weeks as we spend some money on some of the more silly ‘gigs’ on there. :)

Anyway…

About two weeks after that call, I got a comment here on my blog from one of the other guys who was on that call. His name is Chris G and he had taken some of my suggestions about Fiverr and acted on them in a BIG way! Already, I was very pleased to be the person to have introduced him to the site, but even more pleased when he told me his (frankly unbelievable) results.

This is the comment he left me:

Hi there Matt, I was on the tuesday call with Neil when I first learnt about Fiverr.com. Over the past two weeks I have used it several times with amazing success.

I built a strategy to use YouTube to advertise and then link through a squeeze page to an affiliate site. This took me 45 minutes to set up from scratch!

I used fiverr to drive traffic to my YouTube clip and in the last 6 days I have had 18,456 views of my video and 1250 clickthroughs to my squeeze page 107 optins (this is the start of my list) and I have sold 4 products as an affiliate.

For the money side of things: Cost $5 outlay to fiverr, 4 products sold at £32 per product.

Net Profit: £124 in 6 days + 100 emails in my list.

I am currently seeing the views of my YouTube grow more and more per day at the moment and I don’t have to do anything but check in every so often.

Thanks for the tip

Chris G

OK, so first of all, let me say that, just as I said when he first left the comment: I am lovin’ Chris’ work!

Seriously, how cool is that?! He’s made £124 ($193) in pure profit, and added 100 subscribers to his mailing list for just $5. That’s deeply awesome. Even if he outsourced the opt-in page he’d still be making a really big profit.

The maths – or ‘math’ if you’re in the U.S. – intrigues me. I just had to work it out…

$193 return divided by $5 invested = 38.6 x 100 to get the percentage = 3860%

That’s a 3860% return on investment. Read that again. A three thousand, eight hundred and sixty percent return, not to mention the benefits of the list you’re building too.

Chris, congratulations on taking action with this buddy. You now have a system that works and can be ‘rinsed and repeated’ over and over. Very, very cool. What’s more, thank you so much for sharing it with me and my readers.

Now then… This got me thinking…

What if you set up two or three squeeze pages in different markets and then created one short video per day for a month.

That would be 30 lead and sales generating videos working for you on virtual autopilot. With Fiverr.com you would be guaranteed to get the traffic (many gigs say that they will get you a certain number of views from real users in a certain time). If you spent $5 per video on traffic from Fiverr at the rate of one per day for the 30 days, that would be a spend of $150. That may sound a lot when you look at it that way, but think about this.

For the $150 spend, even if you only achieved one third of the success that Chris has had with his strategy, you would still make $1930 and add 1000 people to your mailing list(s). Considering that the rough guide for mailing list earnings is $1 per subscriber per month, that’s pretty good going.

Needless to say, this is exactly what I’m going to do for the next 30 days in a few different niches.

P.S. If you want to see the sort of video that Chris has created and the squeeze page, just go to:

I\’m interested – being I\’m not certain what I\’m doing in Fiverr????

    • Matt says:

With Fiverr, you simply need to go there and find people who will get you views on YouTube. Type ‘YouTube’ into the search and look for people who will guarantee you several thousand views. Order the ‘gig’ and then send the seller your video’s details.

      Hope that helps.

Matt, great post. Have you put anything up on Fivesquids.

    • Matt says:

      Hey Thomas,

Thanks for commenting, no I haven’t put anything on Fivesquids. I tend to limit this kind of marketing to Fiverr purely as I don’t want to spend loads of time on several different sites when I can get it in one place.

If you think about it, it is not worth the effort to deliver work, even though you spent just 10 minutes of work. The possibility of hiring an outsource is always there. Maybe hiring an assistant for just a few hours to complete all your work orders. It’s become very easy now to hire somebody for a small amount. This should allow you to automate your work and thus allow you to be able to make more money online.

  6. Alberta from Fiverr clone script says:

Fiverr is really a cool stuff. Video marketing and social media marketing are some of the famous categories that many people look for in Fiverr.

Oops! I forgot to tell this. People can also check many Fiverr alternatives. Some of the top alternatives are

    1. GigBucks
    2. TenBux
    3. Zeerk

There is nothing new with these type of alternatives because all the functionality is same like the original one. But, this information could be useful to some people who search for some other webpages that are similar to Fiverr.

Last but not least. Fiverr is a unique way to eradicate unemployment if there are lot of skilled people available in a society. The CEO of Fiverr describes this platform as a powerful tool to boost up the micro entrepreneurship.
