10 Top YouTube Tips For Effective Video Marketing

make money onlineHaving used YouTube with some success for a while now, I’ve picked up a good number of tools and tips that help videos get seen and ranked well.

Once you reach a certain point, the videos you upload can have a viral effect, where the views just keep coming. By adding a link in the video description, you can create a little flow of constant traffic to the site of your choosing.

I mentioned on way to use YouTube in my previous post (using Fiverr to get views) but I’m still testing this. The tips mentioned below are the fundamentals that have worked for me for a long time. They also work for a lot of other people on YouTube and many of those people have built businesses off the back of the knowledge I’m going to share with you here.

So, without further ado, here are my 10 top tips for video marketing using YouTube:

  1. Keywords: You may have heard of the Google Keyword Tool. It’s an awesome resource for researching the words that people are typing into Google to find things in your niche. Here’s the surprising thing… YouTube has it’s own keyword tool! You can find it at https://ads.youtube.com/keyword_tool. You can use it to find out what people are searching for on YouTube and in what volumes. But it gets better… You can also use it to find all the keywords that the most successful videos are using, then use them yourself! So, go and find the top videos in your niche and run the address through YouTube’s keyword tool. Then add them to your own videos. It might just be genius!
  2. Building links to your videos will help them to be ranked higher, thus getting them more views. You can do this in a number of ways, including linking to the video from a blog post (or just embedding it), or by simply linking to it from your Twitter or Facebook profile.
  3. Add tags to your videos that match your chosen keywords. If you don’t have them, you can use the keyword tool above to find them. Don’t leave these out when you’re uploading. Take the time during the upload process to find the right tags for your video clip, as it will pay off in a big way once it’s live and ready to watch.

Phenomenal Strategy for Using YouTube to Build a List and Make Money Online

internet marketing blogI’ve been mentioning Fiverr.com on here a fair bit recently after I discovered it about 6 weeks ago. It’s made outsourcing very approachable. Beforehand, I was concerned about needing to employ someone full time and being a little reticent to venture into outsourcing before I had several income streams set up.

I think I mentioned a few weeks back that I was on a call with my IM (internet marketing) mentor, Neil Asher. Incidentally, getting a mentor doesn’t have to be pricey – you can get on Neil’s coaching program for £4.95 (around $8) by going to this page. On that call, I mentioned Fiverr and Neil and the rest of the coaching group fell in love with it… The down side is that it will probably make us all less effective in our businesses for a few weeks as we spend some money on some of the more silly ‘gigs’ on there. :)

Anyway…

About two weeks after that call, I got a comment here on my blog from one of the other guys who was on that call. His name is Chris G and he had taken some of my suggestions about Fiverr and acted on them in a BIG way! Already, I was very pleased to be the person to have introduced him to the site, but even more pleased when he told me his (frankly unbelievable) results.

This is the comment he left me:

Exposed: 3 Simple Commitment Triggers That Make Your Prospects Want To Buy

I’ve been reading up on persuasion recently. Not for anything sinister, you understand (internet marketing cult anyone?).

No, I’ve been reading up on it because I know that I’ve been influenced by it in the past, as I’m sure have you. As a result, I want to know what went on in those situations in order to be able to use that technique myself when creating sales letters, offers etc.

As a result of a conversation with Neil Asher, I picked up a copy of Dr. Robert Cialdini’s book Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion

In it, Cialdini talks about a number of different elements that affect our judgement and turn us from prospects into buyers. It’s brilliant, and I wanted to relate something from it to you, as I think you’ll be able to apply it to your business.

In the book Cialdini outlines several ways and examples in which people have been made to comply with a request to buy something. In most cases, the thing they’re buying is an idea, but you can easily see how this can be related to a product or service. In fact, most products should be sold on the idea of what they can do for you, not on how technically brilliant they are. Prospects find this far more inspiring as they can see an improvement in their lives, not just a shiny product.

One chapter in the book talks about Commitment. It seems that we humans are suckers for commitment when it comes to buying into an idea.

Simply stated, commitment and consistency are two elements that we all want to maintain. It’s bigger than just talking about that one sale – we want to be seen as consistent and committed to our decisions in everything we do. Society has taught us that being consistent is something to aspire to, and that being inconsistent means you perhaps can’t be trusted.

As a result of this, we marketers can use commitment and our buyers’ need to be consistent to get them to purchase our product or buy into our brand.

Warning: These techniques are powerful. Do yourself and all of us a favour and only use them to promote and sell things that are worthy, helpful and have a positive influence.

Easy Way To Become A Master Copywriter with Jay Abraham [VIDEO LESSON]

I stumbled across this little gem pretty much by accident. Frankly, it watching it was one of those ‘why didn’t I think of that?’ moments.

For those of you not familiar with Jay Abraham, he’s a master copywriter. He’s written copy for some very big names in the marketing world and teaches a select few how to do the same and get paid HUGE sums for it.

Copywriting is, of course, the art of selling in words. If you write something compelling about your product that clearly connects with your readers (potential buyers), you make a sale. It sounds easy when phrased like that but it’s deceptively hard. This is the reason that people like Jay can charge tens of thousands of dollars per sales letter – because they’ve mastered it.

However, I have very good news for you… Read the rest of this entry »

Make Money Online? Go To Hell! (You’ll Like It There…)

Internet Marketing DemonsDown in the vaults of the internet, in the burning fires where demons stalk their helpless prey…

Live two blokes called Ben and Shaun!

Ok, ok, so that’s not all that scary and Ben and Shaun don’t really live in the depths of hell. However, they are demons.

No, not in the Twilight or Buffy sense of the word. They’re absolute demons at making money online. And now, as it happens, they’ve turned their demonic abilities to helping you do the same.

I met Ben and Shaun at Mark Anastasi’s Clickbank Millionaire Masterclass a couple of weeks ago and they were on the verge of launching this monster course. They told me about it and now, I have a copy of my own.
