It's quick free investment of a little time, which you can take with you to many other locations, such as forums and article directories. Also, if they see your photo a few times on various blogs, and you write good, thoughtful comments then they'll start to zoom in on your posts when they see your avatar on other comment threads. That would definitely help build credibility, as well as increase the number of click-throughs to your site. That’s a good point.
